Hope for Hope

Hope for Hope

Adopted Post Office City or Postal Topic:
Hope, MN
Briefly describe why you chose this theme to represent the USPS:
South of the Twin Cities, you'll find the unassuming township of Hope, Minnesota. It's similar to many other Main Street towns peppering the rural landscape of the Midwest, except this town is home to Hope Creamery, and it's award-winning butter. In these small rural towns, the post office is often the lifeblood of the community, it's where neighbors meet, and news is exchanged, and the letter carrier knows everyone on his route. Emily Dickinson famously said "Hope is the thing with feathers." I put myself into this photograph because I too, strive to live in the slightly cracked but still winged city that is Hope.
